White bread weeks

So in Belgium the weeks after marriage are called the witte broodsweken. In English this would the white bread weeks (no idea if this is correct or not, because it sounds way too funny...) or the honeymoon period. I have no clue… Still it was a fun week so far. Sprayed my foot. My lovely wife took care of me!!

I'm also thinking about taking Space Wolves as Primary and then some other things as allies. Don't know what yet. Going next week to a Dutch Tournament and I'm taking wolves as primary there. Its a funky rulespack and they are alot of Imperial Knights... So long live power fists and thunder hammers!
Will see how it goes! I'm gonna go with Chaos Marines & Daemonkin to GBO because I wanna get the paper for best Chaos Player. Next year will be the year of the Wolf!

6 Nations, Happy Easter and Marriage

Last weekend we had the 6 Nations Cup in Belgium!

But not in Rugby ;)

Not in Rugby but in Warhammer 40k! I had the luck I could play for North Ireland. This also means sadly one of the players couldn't make it... I gave him a bottle of Duvel to cheer up for the loss. Hoping to meet you John @ ESC!

How was that weekend? It was GREAT! Played some really great games, had a lot of fun, met some new people and I learned from foreign ETC players more then I ever could hope to learn. I'm looking forward to ESC because the level is gonna be high, its in Prague and its gonna be a great way to end my 3 week summer vacation. I really have to thank the North Ireland guys for letting me join the team and playing with them!

I had a week vacation. So I could paint, built, destroy some things at a friends place (his renovating his house so), play a Highlander event in Kortrijk (went 5th of the 14th!) and saw some movies.
Painted my 20 Boarding Imperial Fists. Atleast they are WIP! Worked up 3 Thunderwolves for the event. Splashed some paint on Cypher, Azreal and my Chaplain, ...

Wolves and Vikings

In Space!

So if been painting like crazy to get everything painted and based for the 6 Nations Cup! Everything is done! Now I can focus on my other stuff! For the Horus Hersey Tale aka my Imperial Fists I had to put in a joker. With the painting that needed to be done! Also last weekend I had my bachelor party. I was the Doctor and I had to save the universe of the Daleks! With singing (don’t ask), kissing people, solving puzzles, painting eggs and then laser shooting! Fun night! Now I’m ready to get married!

I’m playing for North Ireland this weekend kind of nervous how everything will turn out. The whole pairing and defense lists will be a great lesson to learn. As well as the chance to play against some guys who are going to ETC! I’m psyched for it! After the 6 Nations my painting board will be full of 20 yellow marines, Thunder Wolves, Terminators (yellow and chaos ones) and my painting material for Highlander Easter Event! Now for some pictures!!

Slacking a bit

I’m slacking a bit because work has been busy. After work I need to do household stuff, a wedding to be prepared, built some marines and bikes, went to a training day, then another extra one, …

I had to finish my February units for the zone mortalis 1000pts. My praetor and contemptor dreadnought are finished! I did hate working that yellow up… So bloody hell! On a side note I think I know what to do with the other marines. So lots of yellow marines ahead!And some Wolves also! Since I'm a stepping in to help North Ireland in the 6 Nation Cup in 3 weeks! Can't say much about the list so yeah let's go onward to something else!

If been building Thunderwolves and Bikers. Because I’m thinking of going full Wolves! Or Marines and Wolves. Have to test out a bit. I’m thinking Chapter Master & Chaplian on Bike, Command squad with grav, 2x melta biker squad, 1 grav bike squad, Wolf Lord on TWC, 2x Iron Priest with both taking 4x cyberwolves and then of course a TWC unit with a bunch of Fist and Shields in. I can make 2 stars and I have 3 troops who can go and get objectives.

Another list would be Thunderwolves and Dark Angels! Yeah, I know in the 40k fluff where Horus betrays his father they aren’t really "friends". But in The Dornian Heresy the Dark Angels are the guidance guys for everyone. So they are best buds! Since Wolves went the Khorne way...

The list idea is: get Sammael on his jetbike, a Ravenwing command squad with hit and run banner, 2x 6 Ravenwing bikers (so I can have 4 troops choices),then 3x Iron Priests, 3x Wolf Guard Battleleader  and a unit of TWC to finish it off. I do have to test both lists to see how they go...
